Experience levels vary based on the event. Experienced models often get preference, but we like to encourage new people to become involved. Accommodations can usually be made to adjust for skill level, medical restrictions, and other concerns.
Events, Public/Private, Projects
There are several ways to describe the projects we work on.
First are live in-person events. In short, these are stage shows and educational events. Each of these could be larger or smaller and public or private.
Second, are projects, usually photo and/or video sets and outcomes with various goals. Like the events above, the goals may be educational or artistic.
Finally, a hybrid of the two. There can be live video events. These, too, can be educational or strictly entertainment-based
- Educational demo models: The model is the canvas displaying the subject material and techniques, including methods and outcomes. Occasionally, the viewers may ask questions and request feedback from the model. These events are typically clinical, involving repetition, question and answer time, and sometimes closer inspection by attendees. Some people may want to snap photos to help practice after class; that option is entirely your choice and can be limited to the rope and restricted to personal use.
- Photoshoots or events – private, public, special events: These range from specific projects to the occasional group session. Typically, these involve a release spelling out each party’s rights and limitations. TFT/TFP (Trade for time/Trade for pictures) is our typical practice at FrolicBB. Occasionally, we get paid requests. A paid option is usually for shows, special requests, or projects that involve a specific sale or promotion. Depending on the project, instead of a “paid shoot,” a stipend may be available. Stipends range from lunch, clothing, travel, or basic inconvenience compensation. Stipends may also come in the form of free entry, food, and/or drinks at the worked event or in the host’s green room/lunch room or employee/volunteer/guest suite. With our projects, both parties typically do it for the love of the project, activity, and outcome/art. You can check out our default release options to evaluate various options. Let us know if you have specific requests or requirements, and we can see if we can accommodate them.
- Shows, demos, and other performances are generally live audience events. Some are public, and some are invitation-only or ticket-based events. These events are often themed or story-based and range from a whole show; others may be a simple demo where we show off the work and abilities of the top/rigger/artist and the model; finally, some performances may be more sideshow.
- A sideshow is either one or two acts within a production or something off to the side, either as a distraction or time killer/intermission entertainment, go-go dancing, or static work, i.e., human plate, ambiance model, or other concepts as directed by the producer. Thus, the scope can be a simple single concept, such as rope only, or a broader [fetish style] concept. (See our quick questionnaire for some typical concepts)
With ALL modeling, you, the model, are in charge. You can request changes, breaks, and a complete stop and end of the shoot or your participation in an event.
Goals and concepts can come from the model, rigger, photographer, and other individuals or groups. The options are endless.
In the end, the goal of any event is to have fun. You can find examples of previous work in the portfolio gallery. FBBR is primarily a promotional and networking group that adds education, rigging, and lifestyle expertise to projects. We further the cause of Frolicking Beyond Boundaries [with Restraint]
