- Long Checklist with Examples (Web / PDF)
- Short Bullet Point Checklist* (Web / PDF)
* Includes my two-point addendum for experience level & sub-space communication info; Specifically broken out and prompted vs assuming you’ve fully covered them in the 16 bullet points.
This is a guide many use in their scene negotiations. It addresses and guides you through many of the pitfalls of scene negotiation. Covering all topics honestly minimizes the risks, omissions, missteps, and misunderstandings that may arise in scenes and negotiations. It also prompts for the creation of a recovery path before play starts, rather than trying to create one afterward should a mistake occur.
NOTE: this assumes you have or will do your own research for informed consent for things that require* Plus, a risk profile within which to guide your negotiating.
*obviously, being “honest” assumes you’re properly disclosing information so the other person is properly informed with how things relate to you, and good faith negotiation means not being deceptive by omission. Hence disclosing you’re risk profile so they can’t say I didn’t know they cared about xyz
